Electrical Maintenance Technician

Electrical TechnicianInstall and perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment, and participate in facilities and maintenance department activities and projects.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:Promote working in a safe manner including completing JSA's and developing safe work plans for hazardous situational work, establishing designated work zones with posted signage, communicating hazards adequately to nearby employees, utilizing proper PPE, initiating stop-work practices in unsafe situations, reporting incidents and injuries promptly, and confronting unsafe acts and situations related to contractor work.Responsible for planning, assembling, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in an industrial setting, including AC/DC voltages, single and 3-phase, and wireless equipmentCalibrate, install, and maintain transmitters, transducers, and other sensing equipmentMake recommendations for the improvement of the operation of existing electrical systems and designs/layouts for future electrical systems including researching, developing plans, and submitting purchasing requestsPerform PM's, troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, and installations to industrial electrical systems including electrical components of mechanical systems, for systems up to 600 VAC, and for control systems up to 50 VDC, motor and motor controls, HVAC, lighting, access controls, cameras, and other equipment. This will require weekly and monthly inspections of equipment and good record keeping abilityAssist in on-the-job training of apprentice electricians, technicians, and uphold RECARO expectations of contractorsAdhere to the RECARO Lock out/Tag out program, work with Arc Flash equipment, and other OSHA requirements and standardsParticipate in aerial work, overhead lifting activities, loading and unloading of equipment, and other setup and relocation of heavy equipment or objectsLight plumbing, fabricating, painting, housekeeping, groundskeeping, facilities inspection overhead doors repairs, events setup and teardown, inclement weather preparations, assisting other tradesman and emergency repairsPromoted good housekeeping including adherence to Bloodborne Pathogens standards and maintain an organized work areaCoordinate with external vendorsMaintain compliance with Federal and State Environmental regulations and agencies within RECARO guidelinesOperate forklift, scissor/boom man lifts, company vehicles and other necessary equipment to perform job dutiesAble to work periodic weekends and evenings to accomplish certain tasks in non-production hours to minimize the impact to productionMotivated self-starter who can manage tasks and projects and make decisions, and is also willing to be apart of a high performing teamQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education/Experience:Possess Journeyman Electrical licenseAt least 5 years Journeyman Electrician experience, Industrial Electrical experience preferredMust be able to use multi-meters, meggar, amp probe, thermal imaging devices and other instruments used in troubleshooting electrical equipmentBasic knowledge of National Electrical CodeHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least 5 years experience in some type of maintenance support in manufacturing environmentAbility to remain flexible in a dynamic business environmentAbility to read/comprehend electrical schematics and technical informationWork effectively as a team memberPrioritize and complete multiple tasks and responsibilitiesCertificates and Licenses:Journeyman Electrical LicenseValid Drivers License
