CNC Machinist – Mill & LatheMcCabe's Mechanical Services – Georgetown, DE Full-time | Day Shift Pay: $20-30/hour, based on experienceMcCabe's Mechanical Services, a Grote Company, manufactures custom stainless-steel equipment for the food-processing industry. We're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate our CNC mills and lathes. This is a hands-on machining position working on a variety of custom parts rather than repetitive high-volume production.What You'll DoSet up and operate CNC mills and lathes to manufacture parts from prints and job specificationsSet tooling, work offsets, speeds and feedsMake program and offset adjustments as neededInspect your work using micrometers, calipers, indicators and other precision measuring toolsRead and interpret blueprints, dimensions and tolerancesTroubleshoot machining, tooling and quality issuesPerform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area safe and organizedWork independently to take jobs from setup through completed partWhat We're Looking For RequiredPrevious CNC machining experience with mills and/or lathesExperience performing machine setupsAbility to read blueprints and understand dimensional tolerancesExperience using precision measuring instrumentsWorking knowledge of tooling, speeds, feeds and offsetsAbility to independently produce quality parts from printsPreferred, but not requiredHaas mill and lathe experienceExperience with Esprit CAM or comparable CAM softwareG-code programming or editing experienceExperience machining stainless steelExperience with both CNC milling and turningExperience designing or building fixturesWe care more about strong machining fundamentals and the ability to learn than whether you've used every piece of software or equipment in our shop.Schedule Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Overtime may be requiredCompensation & Benefits$20-30/hour based on machining experience and capabilities3 weeks paid time offPaid holidaysMedical insuranceDental insurance401(k) with company matchOther supplemental benefits such as life, AD&D, and vision insurance
