Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides respiratory therapy and patient care in accordance with physicians' orders, hospital policies, and departmental standards. Evaluates patient responses and ensures safety and efficacy of treatments.

Responsibilities:

• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary and cardiovascular procedures.
• Evaluate patient response to respiratory treatments and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Educate patients and staff on respiratory procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
• Conduct routine maintenance and service checks on respiratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to patient care.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of RRT experience required.
• Proven proficiency in ventilator management, BIPAP, ICU, ER, and ABG procedures.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Valid State License to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Michigan.
• NBRC certification required.
