Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry, including remote telemetry monitoring and management of dysrhythmias
• Administer blood products and perform phlebotomy and IV insertion as required
• Utilize Rapid Response Teams and apply non-invasive airway management techniques as needed
• Float to nearby affiliated facilities with advance notice (4–6 hours prior to shift) if a critical staffing need arises; floating mid-shift is not expected
• Work an expected 2 out of 3 major holidays based on unit scheduling needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid California Registered Nurse license (required at time of submission)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, IV insertion, and non-invasive airway management
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates must be available for the full assignment period; any permanent employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months prior to placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working within Rapid Response Team protocols
• Comfort with floating to sister facilities within the health system
• Two supervisor references preferred
