AI Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Analyst with a PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research or a related analytical field, to join our dynamic startup team based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Our company, founded by MIT professor and doctoral graduates, is focused on developing innovative services that tackle global food security using advanced analytics. The successful candidate will have a strong background in machine learning and artificial intelligence applications, ideally in computer vision, and/or satellite imagery. They will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced analytical models, utilizing machine learning and other AI techniques, to extract insights and make predictions from large sets of data. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement advanced analytical models utilizing machine learning and AI techniques to extract insights and make predictions from large sets of data Work on projects that may require computer vision, specifically in satellite imagery Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions Stay current with the latest developments in AI and machine learning, and apply new techniques to improve the performance of existing models Write clean, efficient and well-documented code Required qualifications: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research or a related analytical field Strong coding skills in Python or other relevant programming languages Experience with machine learning and AI techniques, including deep learning Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically Excellent communication and collaboration skills Preferred qualifications: A PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research or a related analytical field 3+ years of experience in computer vision, and/or 3+ years of experience in satellite imagery Type: Full-time Benefits include: 401(k) retirement plans with employer matching Paid time-off (5 weeks) and sick days Immigration sponsorship Bonuses tied to company performance Opportunity to participate in conferences and events Why Ground Truth Analytics The company was founded in 2022 by MIT professor and doctoral graduates with the goal to transform agriculture using advanced predictive and prescriptive analytics in partnership with OCP Group.
