Clinical Dietitian

Position Summary Plans, coordinates, and implements nutritional therapy services for assigned patient populations within a behavioral health setting. Essential Functions Assesses patient nutritional status and identifies individual dietary needs Develops, implements, and monitors patient‑specific nutrition care plans Evaluates patient responses to nutrition interventions and adjusts plans accordingly Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate medical nutrition therapy Partners with departmental leadership to ensure nutritionally appropriate menus, food selections, and services for patients and visitors Provides education, training, and counseling to patients, staff, and community members on topics such as eating disorders, weight management, and therapeutic diets Supports organizational initiatives related to nutrition, wellness, and patient outcomes Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to function in a fast‑paced, high‑stress healthcare environment Strong organizational and time‑management skills Education & Experience Education: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field (required) Experience: Clinical nutrition experience preferred, particularly in behavioral health or acute care settings License & Certifications Licensed Dietitian in the State of Kentucky (required) Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration) (required) Additional Requirements Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment Reports To Business Office Supervisor FLSA Status Non‑exempt EEOC Statement Springstone is committed to providing Equal Employment Opportunities for all applicants and employees and complies with all applicable laws prohibiting discrimination against any employee or applicant for employment because of color, race, sex, age, religion, national origin, disability, genetic information, gender identity, sexual orientation, veterans' status or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
