Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient examinations, assess medical histories, and perform thorough evaluations that inform treatment decisions.
• Order and interpret various diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging studies, to aid in accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage acute health conditions, from minor injuries to more complex medical issues, providing timely interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for both acute and chronic conditions, ensuring evidence-based approaches to care.
• Prescribe medications, monitor their effects, and make necessary adjustments in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Maintain detailed and organized patient records using our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on illness prevention strategies, healthy lifestyle choices, and management of chronic conditions.
• Support the overall health and wellness of patients through proactive management and follow-up care.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities, including attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on providing care to a diverse patient population that includes children, adults, and seniors experiencing acute health issues. You will play a key role in delivering compassionate care with a strong emphasis on patient-centered approaches, ensuring that each individual’s needs and preferences are respected and addressed.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure and a passing score on the national Physician Assistant certifying exam.
• Proven experience in a clinical setting, particularly within urgent care, emergency room, or primary care environments.
• Solid understanding of best practices in both primary care and acute care settings, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to ensure effective interaction with patients, families, and other health professionals.
• Commitment to ethical standards and patient-centered care.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-pressure situations, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
• A DEA registration is required for prescribing controlled substances.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using electronic health record systems, particularly those tailored to urgent care environments.
• Background in family medicine or emergency care is a significant asset.
• Bilingual abilities in Spanish or other languages are a plus, enhancing communication with our diverse patient community.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
