About This Role The Registered Nurse (RN) Woundcare at Northwell Health is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in collaboration and possess strong clinical judgment. Highlights Location: Chappaqua, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time What You'll Do Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures. Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status. Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition. Assess pain levels and manage pain effectively. Develop individualized patient goals and outcome statements. Coordinate the cost-effective use of supplies, equipment, and medication. Maintain constant vigilance over patient care and safety precautions. Administer prescribed treatments and use necessary equipment safely. Provide emotional support to patients and their significant others. Educate patients and families about drug interactions and health conditions. Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two (2) years and obtain a BSN Degree within five (5) years of job entry date. Licenses & Certifications Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
