Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor needed to manage manufacturing operations, production schedules, employee performance, and daily workflow in a hands‑on manufacturing environment. Requires US Citizenship or Green Card and 5+ years of industrial manufacturing production supervision experience. Responsibilities: Manage daily production activities, staffing, equipment, and workflow to meet production plans and schedules. Supervise, train, onboard, and evaluate employees. Provide direct feedback on performance and attendance, and administer disciplinary action when necessary. Coordinate with engineering, quality, purchasing, scheduling, and other departments to maintain production flow and address material, staffing, and scheduling issues. Monitor production progress and communicate schedule updates, pending work, and potential delays to the Manufacturing Manager and Master Scheduler. Identify material shortages and submit weekly written updates to Purchasing. Ensure current TDD, drawings, and specifications are available for production work orders. Document drawing and BOM discrepancies, submitting redlines and issues to Engineering for resolution. Address product defects using problem‑solving techniques and quality resources. Maintain production, attendance, training, and other required departmental records. Enforce company policies, work rules, quality requirements, and safety procedures. Report findings and ensure compliance. Evaluate production processes and workflow to improve efficiency, product flow, throughput, and cost. Support 5S and Lean Manufacturing initiatives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Participate in weekly supervisory meetings and communicate relevant information to departmental employees. Direct employee issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience: Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in a related area. Experience solving production problems and working through ambiguity. Ability to read and understand basic blueprints. Understanding and application of basic mathematics. Team‑oriented approach to working with production and other departments. Preferred: High school diploma or GED. Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Supervisor, or Lead. Experience with JD Edwards and Excel.
