Physical Therapist Position

Make a meaningful difference by supporting a homeschool student with unique needs as a dedicated Physical Therapist in a school-based setting. You'll play a vital role in the development and well-being of an 11-year-old female student, working with a collaborative educational team near White Plains, NY.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of New York
• Experience in a school-based setting or serving pediatric populations preferred
• Comfort and skill working with medically complex children, especially those with combined visual and hearing impairments and cognitive disabilities
• Ability to design and implement creative, evidence-based interventions tailored to individual needs
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
• Commitment to promoting student independence, engagement, and functional mobility in school and home settings

Responsibilities:

• Provide two 30-minute physical therapy sessions each week for one homeschool student, delivered onsite at the district building
• Evaluate and monitor progress, adapting goals and methods as necessary
• Collaborate closely with caregivers and school staff to ensure a team-oriented approach
• Develop and implement customized strategies to help the student build strength, coordination, and mobility, maximizing her participation and quality of life
• Maintain timely documentation in accordance with school and legal guidelines

Compensation for this position ranges from $40.00 to $60.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
