Account Manager

Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, building and maintaining long-term client relationships. Develop a deep understanding of each client's logistics model, shipping requirements, SOPs, KPIs, and special handling instructions. Conduct regular business and operational reviews with clients to stay ahead of future volumes, projects, and potential needs. Own every client request, issue, and exception end-to-end - ensuring each item has a clear owner, timeline, and resolution. Requirements Solid knowledge of international freight forwarding, including: Ocean Import / Export Air Import / Export Customs Clearance Trucking / Drayage Warehousing

FTL / LTL

Familiarity with Incoterms, import/export documentation, and international logistics processes. Ability to understand and support quoting, rates, accessorial charges, and logistics costs. Experience in Semiconductor, High-Tech, Manufacturing, Chemical / DG, or Project Cargo is a plus. 2. Project & Operational Management Ability to manage multiple shipments and client projects simultaneously, with full visibility into key milestones: Pickup, ETD, ETA, Customs Clearance, and Delivery. High sensitivity to time-sensitive shipments - proactively tracking and identifying potential issues before they elevate. When delays, damages, customs holds, trucking issues, or other exceptions occur, able to quickly coordinate with Operations, Warehouse, Carriers, Trucking, and Brokers to drive resolution. Critical exceptions must never wait for the client to follow up - proactive updates and continuous tracking until full resolution are required. 3. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with Sales, Pricing, Operations, Warehouse, Trucking, Customs Brokers, and Accounting. Translate client requirements into clear internal execution instructions, eliminating information gaps. Establish and maintain Account SOPs for key clients, ensuring all relevant teams execute according to client requirements. Support new client onboarding and new project implementation. 4. Commercial & Account Growth Identify new logistics needs and cross-selling opportunities within existing key accounts. Support Sales in preparing client proposals, RFQ/RFP responses, and large project quotes. Regularly analyze client volume, revenue, margin, and service performance. Exercise sound commercial judgment when responding to client pricing and service requests. Basic Qualifications Fluent in both Chinese and English (required) - professional business email, phone, and meeting communication skills. 3-5+ years of experience in Freight Forwarding / International Logistics. 2+ years of Key Account / Strategic Account / Major Account management experience. Proven track record of independently managing large clients or critical projects - not purely Customer Service experience. Familiarity with US import/export logistics and domestic US transportation processes.
