Nuclear PharmacyAnticipated hourly range: $56.10-$88.33Benefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close: 09/25/2026 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.Shift:Rotating (monthly) schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverageFlexibility required to support business needs in a 24/7 environmentResponsibilities:Provides pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist, including compounding of nuclear medications, testing for quality through chromatography, and directing distribution of medication using a team of drivers.Assesses and maintains pharmacy inventory and executes necessary orders, including reviews, to maintain optimal supply and ongoing availability of drugs, identifying and procuring alternative drugs to mitigate risks, when necessary.Leads processes for hiring of pharmacy staff, onboarding, and performance management, including leadership of competency evaluations process and documentation.Manages and directs internal workflows of nuclear pharmacy, including optimization of staffing and scheduling to maintain best-in-class and streamlined pharmacy operations.Assists in execution of plans for lowering costs, increasing efficiency and driving profitable growth to support strategic business objectives in the nuclear pharmacy business.Maintains relationships with outside suppliers and vendors to understand availability of drug components and assist in demand planning.Participates in administrative tasks to facilitate nuclear pharmacy operations, including interactions with customersPerforms other job-related duties as required to ensure the goals and objectives of the department are met including delivering doses if necessary.May oversee running of the facility (known as Pharmacist in Charge) if neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD preferredValid CA State Pharmacist's license in the state in which the pharmacy operates, or is in the process of obtaining a valid license preferred2-4 years of experience, preferredWorking knowledge of biohazardous waste management procedures preferredStrong customer service skillsManual dexterity required for occasional reach, lifting, holding of small objects, and dispensing dosesComfortable working in a nuclear environmentMust hold a valid driver's licenseAbility to work weekends, on call, holidays, overtime, alternate days/shifts, or be in a rotationIntermediate computer skills (ability to use computers and tablets)May require vendor credentialingBasic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents.Prior Authorized User certification is preferred.
