Travel Nurse RN - Psychiatric - $2,100 per week

Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN Psychiatric for a travel nursing job in Hickory, North Carolina.

Job Description & Requirements

Key responsibilities include:

• Assess and monitor patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage patients with:
  • Schizophrenia
  • Bipolar Disorder (Manic)
  • Psychosis
  • Depression
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Dementia
  • Dual Diagnosis
  • Medical Detox
• Respond to behavioral crises and maintain patient safety.
• Perform patient assessments and document care in Cerner EMR.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans.
• Float as required within behavioral health units.
• Work night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) .

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Minimum 18 months–2 years of RN experience (Behavioral Health/Psych preferred)
• BLS certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or Handle With Care (HWC) certification (required for consideration)
• Experience caring for adult behavioral health patients
