Clinical Consultant
Serve as a clinical resource by providing specialized consultation, guidance, and support to promote effective service delivery and achievement of clinical goals across the Family Support Center and Autism Support Center. Work directly with the Program Director to develop, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve clinical services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and related behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs. Provide expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis, behavioral assessment and intervention, family-centered practice, caregiver support, staff development, clinical consultation, and evidence-based behavioral strategies.
Responsibilities
The essential job duties/responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the information listed below:
• Provide clinical support and consultation to the Program Director in the implementation and ongoing development of Family Support Center and Autism Support Center services.
• Provide specialized clinical consultation related to autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, Applied Behavior Analysis, positive behavioral supports, skill acquisition, and behavioral intervention.
• Assist the Program Director in developing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying clinical programming to meet the changing needs of individuals and families served.
• Provide consultation and coaching to parents, caregivers, and family members regarding behavioral, developmental, and emotional needs. Assist families in understanding behavioral functions and implementing evidence-based strategies across home, and community settings.
• Provide feedback to the Program Director regarding the status, effectiveness, and emerging needs of clinical programming. Maintain clinical session notes/records and ensure timely communication regarding clinical issues, trends, recommendations, and follow-up needs.
• Conduct intake assessments, behavioral assessments, functional assessments, and other evaluations as appropriate to the needs of individuals and families served.
• Develop, review, and modify behavioral and skill-building strategies based on clinical assessment, available data, individual needs, and evidence-based practices.
• Develop and deliver training programs and educational workshops for new and existing employees, families, caregivers, community partners, and other stakeholders on autism, behavioral interventions, Applied Behavior Analysis, crisis prevention, trauma-informed care, and related clinical topics.
• Attend meetings, and consultations with staff, families, caregivers, and external specialists as appropriate. Present clinical findings, behavioral data, assessment results, and recommendations and participate in collaborative development of intervention plans.
• Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with applicable Vinfen policies, professional standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
• Perform other related duties, as required.

• Knowledge of autism, developmental disabilities, and related support needs, with the ability to develop and implement individualized, strengths-based strategies that promote skill development, independence, and quality of life.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and the ability to apply trauma-responsive approaches that promote emotional and physical safety, trust, choice, collaboration and empowerment.
• Knowledge of effective communication and collaborative practices, with the ability to establish productive relationships with individuals, families, staff, clinicians, and community partners.
• Knowledge of principles of advocacy and self-determination, with the ability to support individuals and families in identifying preferences, making informed choices, accessing resources, and exercising their rights.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing sound judgment to prioritize responsibilities, solve problems, make appropriate decisions, and recognize when consultation or additional support is warranted.
• Ability to translate clinical recommendations and behavioral principles into practical, sustainable strategies that can be implemented consistently by individuals, families and caregivers

Qualifications
ACD I A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Master's degree in Special Education, psychology, social work or related field. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board preferred. One to three years of experience in a clinical setting. In some cases, experience may be substituted for academic training.
Driving Requirements: May be called on to drive for Vinfen using either a Vinfen van or personal vehicle. A valid driver's license must be presented at the time of employment. Incumbents must be at least 21 years of age, have maintained a valid US driver's license for at least six months, and must be able to pass a driver's screening background check. If driving, must maintain a safe driving record, which is subject to annual checks. If using a personal vehicle, must possess and maintain adequate insurance.
Physical Effort: Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb as this is a very physically active position.Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or the use of a two-person lift.Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer.
Ability to sit, reach, climb stairs, and maneuver through narrow spaces or hallways.
Ability to assist clients with tasks of daily living.
Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time as needed.
Ability to bend, reach, file, sit, stand, and move around the facility.
Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with clients, staff, and external representatives.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
