Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Ortho/Surgery Post-Op)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days | 13-Week Assignment | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Shift: 06:45–19:15 | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a fast-paced surgical/orthopedic post-op unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Conduct bedside shift report at the start of each shift
• Monitor and assess post-operative surgical patients, responding quickly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver quality, compassionate patient care
• Float to other units as needed per facility requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Current AHA NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Strong time management skills, positive attitude, and reliable attendance

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Background in Med/Surg, orthopedics, or post-operative care
• Experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced inpatient setting
• Confident, quick-thinking clinical approach with a strong work ethic
