If you prefer the challenge of designing custom automated machinery from a blank sheet of paper over making minor tweaks to the same legacy products, keep reading.

We’re looking for a Mechanical Designer who wants to own the engineering of custom, engineered-to-order manufacturing equipment. In this role, you won’t just be updating files behind a desk; you’ll take customer-specific automated machinery from clean-sheet conceptualization through final production, solving complex technical challenges and seeing your designs built right here on the shop floor.

What You’ll Get Your Hands On

• Execute clean-sheet mechanical designs for custom automated machinery and single-process equipment
• Create detailed 3D assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and precise BOMs using AutoCAD Inventor
• Manage project deliverables to ensure high-precision machines are built on schedule, within budget, and to exact customer specs
• Collaborate directly with assembly technicians, controls engineers, and clients to turn concepts into fully commissioned systems
• Mentor junior design team members while enforcing ISO quality and machine safety standards (OSHA, NFPA, UL)
• Travel occasionally for project installations and commissioning to see your machines run in the wild

What We’re Looking For

✔️ Mechanical design experience focused on automated process equipment

✔️ 3D CAD modeling expertise, specifically with AutoCAD Inventor (SolidWorks or Solid Edge also valued)

✔️ Solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles, physics, fluid dynamics, and Process Control Analysis

✔️ Working familiarity with industrial machine safety standards (NFPA, UL, OSHA)

✔️ Bonus points for experience with FEA, CFD, or Lean Manufacturing practices
