Machinist

Resource MFG is looking for a skilled Machinist in Mars, PA

Location: Mars, PA

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual, CNC, and computerized machine shop equipment.
• Machine a variety of materials including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloys, plastics, and synthetic materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and verbal instructions.
• Perform shop calculations involving dimensions, speeds, feeds, tooling, and tolerances.
• Utilize precision measuring equipment to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Select appropriate cutting tools and machining methods to maximize efficiency and product quality.
• Set up and operate lathes, mills, jig borers, grinders, punch presses, and power brakes.
• Fabricate complex parts with compound angles, intricate dimensions, and tight tolerances.
• Rework, calibrate, and inspect production parts, assemblies, and tooling.
• Recommend process and design improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
• Fabricate sheet metal, tubing, and extruded materials using hand tools and machinery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of machining, tool & die, or related manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of measuring instruments, gauges, and cutting tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, routers, and technical drawings.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
