Overview :

The Staff Accountant position is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing company. The Staff Accountant position will assume daily and monthly accounting tasks and will be based out of our Corporate Office in New Hampton, IA. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of accounting experience, strong analytical and processing skills, and be team-oriented with excellent communication skills. Experience in a construction-related field would be beneficial.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and post journal entries, by ensuring and maintaining proper backup documentation.
• Collect, review, and post data from operations.
• Analyze, report, and validate key data by maintaining or developing spreadsheet reports or utilizing our software solution programs.
• Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts.
• Assist with year-end audits and regulatory filings.
• Contribute to the team effort by meeting monthly close and other deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and regulations.
• Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.

Requirements :

• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen and drug test.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; or applicable experience.
• PC proficiency (specifically Microsoft applications) and strong Excel skills.
