Job Description
TITLE: Medical Assistant

SCHEDULE: Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS: Contract Length: 8 weeks, Guaranteed Hours: 36.00

REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
- Medical Assistant (CMA) certification: Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire: Preferred
- Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred
- At least two years recent experience in the field: Required

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care for patients.
- Coordinate nursing care activities with other health care disciplines under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed vocational nurse (LVN).
- Set up exam rooms and check in patients.
- Maintain a patient recall system for lab tests, referrals, and transfers.
- Assist physicians with office procedures and preparations.
- Perform vital signs checks, venipunctures, audiometry, and vision testing as necessary.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES:
- All associates must receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment.
- Medical and religious exemptions may apply.
- Facility participates in E-Verify.
