Direct Support ProfessionalsFounded and headquartered in Danielson in 2006, with additional program locations established in Avon and Bethany Connecticut, The Supported Living Group (SLG) provides industry leading non-medical community based and person centered support services throughout the state of Connecticut.What you need to be qualified for this job:Excellent CommunicationProblem-SolvingA commitment to the health and wellbeing of othersFlexibilityAbility to work as a teamCan do attitudeDesire to improve the quality of life for a person with disabilitiesExperience working with disabled individuals preferredA high school education (or GED)Reliable transportationValid Drivers licenseMust be at least 18 years or olderPersonal cell phoneMultiple Shifts-Tuesday and Thursday- 10am-6:30pm, Wednesday 12pm-3pmTuesday and Thursday- 10am-4pmPersonal Care Assistant (PCA): Provides assistance with the following: eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living; or supervision and cueing of these activities without actual hands-on assistance. Direct Care Staff needed as well for all locations. Hiring for multiple Positions.Work ScheduleThis job will require you to work in the homes and communities of the individuals we serve. While each individual may have different hours, we have 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift responsibilities 7 days a week. This allows for flexibility in your work week.
