Location This position is onsite in Desert Center, CA. Required Training Each Renewable Energy Technician will attend a mandatory 3–4 week training and certification course at the start of employment. The exact duration will be determined based on experience and qualifications. The training is in Albert Lea, MN, and travel, accommodation, and expenses will be provided. Salary Range Tech 2: $23.00–$38.00 per hour, starting pay $28.00–$33.00 per hour. Tech 3: $26.00–$43.00 per hour, starting pay $30.00–$36.00 per hour. Benefits & Perks Competitive bonus incentives. Supportive mentorship & buddy programs. Responsibilities Role – The level of autonomy, technical complexity, and leadership responsibility distinctly separates the two technician roles. On‑the‑Job Autonomy & Leadership Technician 2 (Experienced) – Performs preventative maintenance independently, conducts routine troubleshooting, repairs, and minor upgrades, and participates in 24‑hour "On Call" rotation. Technician 3 (Senior) – Performs unsupervised routine and corrective maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, leads teams on routine tasks, may train and oversee Techs 1 & 2, and unsupervised execution of all corrective/preventative maintenance. Shared Responsibilities (Applicable To All Levels) Adhere to all safety protocols, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, and lead site safety assessments. Maintain company property and equipment safely and responsibly. Accurately complete all administrative work, including daily maintenance logs, work orders, time tracking, and warranty/inventory documentation. Attend all required safety and technical training. Maintain the highest level of system integrity and support site budget control by seeking efficiencies. Technician levels 2‑5 participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation for system monitoring and fault identification. Fiscal Responsibilities – All levels of the organization must be fiscally responsible on the company’s behalf. Qualifications Tech 2 (Experienced) – 1 to 2 years in renewable energy or similar discipline. Tech 3 (Senior) – 2+ years renewable energy experience. Education – High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge & Skills – Basic knowledge of schematics, multi‑meter use, and electrical/mechanical components for Tech 2; deep competency in generation theory, advanced knowledge of electrical safety, arc flash standards, NEC, and proficiency with advanced diagnostic tools for Tech 3. Certifications – Must meet Qualified Electrical Worker standards (Tech 2); must meet Qualified Electrical Worker standards and have competency in system software and industry standards (Tech 3). Other – Must possess a valid driver’s license. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Field work: Work is primarily conducted 100% in the renewable asset field for Techs 2‑3. Work at Height: Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and structures to heights of over 300 feet (91 meters) and work at those heights and in confined spaces. Conditions: Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain) and in an electrical‑mechanical environment with high voltage/stored energy. Lifting: Ability to regularly lift up to 35 pounds and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Safety Restriction (Wind only): Due to weight restrictions for fall‑arrest equipment, the maximum employee weight must not exceed 285 lbs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
