Location: Various in NWI Salary Classification: Non-Exempt/Full Time Reports to: Branch Manager Job Summary: The Teller is responsible for providing exceptional service while processing a variety of financial transactions accurately and efficiently. This role is often the first point of contact for members and plays a critical role in delivering a positive member experience by addressing routine banking needs and connecting members with additional credit union resources. Key Responsibilities: Greet members promptly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming experience. Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other member transactions accurately and efficiently. Verify cash totals at the beginning, middle and end of each shift and maintain a balanced cash drawer. Set an example of professionalism, behave with integrity, and contribute positively to the culture and brand of the organization. Refer members to Financial Services Representatives or Financial Services Officers as appropriate for credit products, new accounts, and other specialized services. May participate in light promotional goals with the opportunity for incentives (e.g., refer 5 credit products that fund to receive a performance-based incentive). Respond to member inquiries and resolve routine concerns or elevate as appropriate. Maintain compliance with all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Assist with ATM balancing, night deposit processing, and other daily branch tasks as assigned. Maintain the confidentiality of member and credit union information. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous cash handling or customer service experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change. Must successfully complete a probationary period, after which employee will be required to join the applicable teller union as a condition of employment.
