Oil & Gas wells and facilities were installed over the last 15 years and therefore have a variety of configurations and sensors. Different equipment configurations and sensors have different inaccuracies that need to be modeled and corrected for to produce the most accurate results.BPX has spent the last 6 months re-architecting this application to use a microservice pattern with an API frontend and an autoscaling Kubernetes backend to process the data quickly using Azure privatized resources. The pattern has been working well but in the past 6+ months during development a number of user requests have been gathering in the backlog that need actioning. The app code is written in Python. The frontend uses FastAPI and should not see many changes. The backend is a custom pattern fit for purpose to process the data based on problems observed in previous versions. The pattern has been working well and allowing for lots of quick changes based on the backlog. We need an experienced developer to help clear out the backlog of requests so the data scientist on the project can focus more on model building and less on logic cases and odd bug fixes.
