Travel RN Specialty Employee Health

Shift: D/E/N Rotating - 8x5 - 07,19 Weekly Hours: 40 Description: Comprehensive services include Clinical Health Services focusing on assessment of the ability of the employee to meet immediate job demands. The goal is to increase employee productivity and improve employee performance. Environmental Health and Safety ensures a safe working environment through site assessments. Oversees environmental health and emergency preparedness and response. Wellness and Health Promotion Services assist employees in achieving and maintaining good health. Behavioral Health Services provide emotional well-being and a healthy life balance through stress management, financial and legal counseling, and professional referral. The Contractor shall provide personnel capable of performing general occupational health services. This includes response to emergencies and first aid and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries. Provision of health education and health counseling will be based on identified modifiable health risks. Services include walk-in care and emergency response. Use of portable automated external defibrillators and intravenous fluid resuscitation is required in selected locations. Provisions for treatments prescribed by a personal physician include periodic bed rest and blood pressure monitoring. Other treatments and medications will be administered by injection as needed. Short-term prescriptions may be provided by appropriately privileged Licensed Independent Practitioners. Health education, health coaching, and training programs will utilize approved training materials. Health screenings for various conditions will be conducted. Annual wellness assessments will include a basic health risk assessment and biometric screening. Individualized health education and counseling will focus on core health risks and referrals. Preventive health and medical surveillance exams administered by privileged Licensed Independent Practitioners are required. Administration of immunizations such as Hepatitis A and B will be conducted. Testing related to medical surveillance and specific job requirements will occur. Participation in performance improvement and risk management activities is necessary. Outreach services will include health promotion activities such as health screenings and immunizations.

Qualifications/Requirements: Degree/Education: completion from an accredited program for position. General Knowledge: Possess the ability to pass a government background check/security clearance. Must have direct, verifiable experience in occupational health, public health, or primary adult ambulatory care services Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Licensure: Active, unrestricted license to practice from any state.
