We are seeking a skilled Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician to join our community health center team. This pivotal role offers the chance to work with a diverse patient population, support a collaborative team of providers and midwives, and deliver comprehensive OB/GYN services in a community-focused setting. Required Skills:
- Valid and active New York State medical license
- Board Certification in OB/GYN; Board Eligible candidates will not be considered
- Proficiency in managing a mixed patient load of teenagers and adults
- Experience with Emergency Department EMR systems, preferably eClinicalWorks
- Ability to perform deliveries and handle complex OB/GYN cases
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hospital and clinic setting
- Ultrasound proficiency and experience with inpatient delivery support
- Prior experience working in community health centers or similar outpatient environments
- Familiarity with hospital-based inpatient obstetric care
- Additional certifications such as ACGME or Rural Health experience
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN practice experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Prior experience with hospital call shifts and managing high-volume obstetric cases
- Capacity to work onsite during 24-hour call shifts; room provided next to L&D
- Willingness to support approximately 4 weeks per month, including night and weekend shifts
- Ability to work scheduled clinic days (Mondays through Fridays)
- Credentialing completed within 60-90 days
- Valid DEA registration (required)
- Local provider preferred to minimize travel expenses; mileage reimbursement available
