Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) in Phoenix, Arizona , is a focused neuroscience institute and internationally recognized leader in clinical neuroscience and cutting‑edge research. The Department of Neurology has nearly 70 faculty members and provides cutting edge care in a uniquely patient‑centered environment. The Department has a traditional tripartite academic mission and provides care in a unique patient‑centered environment, trains the next generation of physician leaders in the residency and fellowship programs, and conducts bench, dry lab, and patient‑facing research. The Department includes state‑of‑the‑art facilities and extensive clinical support resources including dedicated outpatient neurology infusion center, neuropsychology; social work; physical, occupational, recreational, and speech therapies; and acclaimed community outreach programs. We are an inclusive department that reflects our state and national demographics. Job Summary: BNI seeks a senior leader to continue to build our very active and growing Neuroimmunology Division. The successful candidate may be either a clinician‑educator or clinician‑scientist and will be expected to direct all aspects of the clinical neuroimmunology program, mentor faculty and trainees, and provide the strategic vision for expansion. An endowed chair and career‑appropriate laboratory startup funds are available for qualified candidates. The Division Director will work with an experienced, highly skilled, and comprehensive team of neurological specialists at Barrow Neurological Institute St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a high volume, diverse, and medically complex patient population in collaboration with an outstanding multidisciplinary team. The Neuroimmunology Division provides advanced care for patients with multiple sclerosis and related disorders, including a robust ambulatory platform, inpatient and outpatient neuro‑rehabilitation services, an ambulatory neuro‑infusion center, clinical trials, and extramurally funded neuroimmunology research laboratories. Teaching responsibilities include instruction of medical students, neurology residents, and fellows. The division is highly cohesive division and has a culture of camaraderie, teamwork, and professionalism. Job Specifications: Applicants must have an M.D., M.D. /Ph.D., D.O., and be Board certified/Board eligible in Neurology by ABPN and have successfully completed Neuroimmunology fellowship training. Ability to obtain a state of Arizona medical license at time of employment. BNI academic rank and track will match applicant’s qualifications.
