3 and 5 Axis Milling MachinistColorado Springs, Colorado Full TimeResponsibilitiesSet up and operate 3 and 5 axis milling machines to produce precision parts according to specificationsRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentsInspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications using a variety of measurement toolsCollaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processesMaintain a clean and organized work areaAdhere to all safety protocols and proceduresRequired ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical degree, military training or certification in machining or a related field preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience operating 3 and 5 axis milling machinesExperience with tight tolerances and precision partsKnowledge of GD&TExperience with metrology/measuring toolsStrong understanding of machining principles and techniquesExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyDesired ExperienceExperience with CAD/CAM softwareTool GrindingExperience with Swiss style lathesExperience with advanced metrology equipment such as CMMsExperience with NPIPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and move materials up to 35 poundsProlonged periods of standing and working with machineryGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
