Overview
Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Potsdam, NY. Start date: 08/10/2026. Duration: Weeks travel assignment. Weekly pay: $2,023–$2,089. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: Nights, 19:00–07:00 (3x12). Setting: hospital-based ED serving combined adult and pediatric patients, with Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center designation.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for a combined adult and pediatric ED, including non-trauma and trauma presentations
- Perform rapid triage and clinical assessment; implement SBAR communication with the care team
- Administer medications, start IV access, manage airway support, and assist with procedures as needed
- Monitor patient status, respond to emergencies, support neuro-trauma and cardiac care, include stroke and sepsis management
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Rapid Response, Unit Secretary) and facilitate imaging, labs, and therapies
- Document care in EPIC; ensure accurate charting, patient safety, infection control, and discharge/admission planning

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand to submit
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
- Minimum 2 years ED experience required; trauma experience preferred
- EPIC charting experience mandatory
- Ability to float to related ED areas per unit policy
- Distance/compliance: candidates must be located >50 miles away; some notes indicate not accepted within 75 miles—confirm before submittal
- RTO: no more than 10 days of requested time off
