This role leads complex development initiatives, contributes to architectural design decisions, and promotes engineering best practices within the development team. The Application Developer Architect III partners with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and technical peers to translate business requirements into resilient technical solutions that enhance customer experience, improve system reliability, and support efficient software delivery. This position leverages modern DevOps practices and AI-enabled development tools to improve productivity, streamline testing and deployment, and elevate overall software quality. This role includes a primary focus on Marketing Technology, supporting customer-facing digital experiences and the applications, platforms, and integrations that enable marketing execution, personalization, analytics, and ongoing optimization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Design, develop, and enhance complex application functionality in cloud and on-premises environmentsContribute to system architecture discussions and technical solution designWrite reusable, testable, and efficient code using modern development frameworksImplement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practicesApply secure coding standards and implement data protection controlsTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and performance bottlenecksCollaborate with Product Managers and Business Analysts to refine requirements and outline technical solutionsParticipate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including estimation and sprint planningSupport monitoring, observability, and production stability of deployed solutionsLeverage AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, accelerate development, and enhance testing coverageMentor junior developers and provide technical guidanceContribute to continuous improvement of development standards and engineering practicesDesign and support applications and integrations that enable marketing platforms, customer engagement, and campaign execution, and customer-facing digital experiencesSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Experience 6–8+ years of progressive experience in application developmentDesigning and deploying enterprise applications in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar platforms)Contributing to architectural design for multi-tier or distributed systemsImplementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworksApplying secure coding practices and performance optimization techniquesMentoring developers and guiding technical executionWorking within Agile/Scrum delivery environmentsLeveraging AI-enabled development tools to enhance productivity and release efficiencyStrong proficiency in modern development frameworks (e.g., Node.js,.NET, React, or similar stacks)Experience with RESTful APIs, OAuth, JSON, and service-oriented architecture principlesCloud development experience (AWS, Azure, or similar)CI/CD pipeline implementation and DevOps practicesVersion control systems (Git)Application security (authentication, authorization, encryption)Performance tuning and application monitoring/observabilityData modeling fundamentalsFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools (code generation, automated testing, intelligent monitoring)Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skillsAbility to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutionsCollaborative team orientationMentorship and capability-building mindsetAccountability for uptime, performance, and code qualityContinuous improvement orientationAbility to operate independently while contributing within Agile teamsEducation Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field preferred.
