We are seeking an Advanced Quality Planning Engineer who will play a critical role in ensuring flawless new product launches by integrating advanced quality planning processes early in product development. Join Molex and contribute to innovative solutions that connect the world, while advancing your career in a culture that values technical excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement.What You Will DoDevelop and manage the Project Quality Plan for new products and modifications, ensuring alignment with the Voice of the Customer and timely completion of all quality deliverablesReview, update, and create essential quality documentation, including PFMEA, control plans, and inspection plansLead problem-solving efforts using the 8D methodology to analyze and resolve new product customer complaints and internal quality issues during product launchCollaborate with cross-functional teams to prevent the recurrence of quality issues and drive systemic improvements in Product Development processesPartner with Manufacturing Quality Engineering to develop and conduct Safe Launch plans and perform process and product auditsWork with Product Development Teams (Design engineers, process / tooling engineers, project managers, product managers, and prototype / plant operators) to support sample submission, prototype, and initial launch parts delivery on time.Review and approve supplier product documentation for new and modified componentsOversee PPAP documentation review and timely submission to customers; facilitate development of measurement plans and lead product disposition at First Off Tool (FOT) and Qualification stages, including ownership of gauges and inspection fixturesConduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA), capability studies, and statistical analysesWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experienceMinimum 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, preferably supporting new product launches in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial environmentsStrong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and product development quality processesProficient with core quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, Inspection Plans, and PPAPSolid understanding of metrology, GD&T, and Safe Launch processesExperience in the appropriate handling of Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs) and Customer Critical/Special Characteristics (CC/SC)Hands-on experience with Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Capability Studies, and statistical data analysis using tools like Minitab or equivalentSkilled in problem-solving methodologies including 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA)What Will Put You AheadFormal training in Design of Experiments (DOE), Advanced Quality Planning tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, and reliability test planningProven experience performing and facilitating DFMEA/PFMEA and leveraging Advanced Quality Planning tools to improve product and process qualityStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including testing, molding, stamping, and assembly operationsPractical experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or IATF 16949) and supplier auditing to ensure compliance and foster continuous improvementAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
