As a Fiber Splicer , youare responsible for producingend-to-end fiber optic networks.You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.

In addition, you will:

• Testing and troubleshooting the continuity of fiber optic networks
• Operate all testing equipment and be adept at the resolution of challenges common to fiber optic networks
• Experience prepping fiber splice enclosures such as Tyco,CommScope, Corning, etc.
• Utilize fusion splicer, test equipment OTDR (Optical Time-DomainReflectometer) 1310, 1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, Power meter
• Fiber engineer knowledge of fiber design, reading documentation, understanding of light levels, and dB loss
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites

About You:

• Safety is a part of your day-to-day
• You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
• You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
• You are looking for long-term projects
• You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team
• You have at least 3-5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience
• You are comfortable working on a ladder or a bucket truck

• You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
• You are flexible and enjoy a variety of shifts with overtime

MOS Codes V80B, B05A, 3D157, 6423, 5699 relate well to this position.

Compensation of $32-$36 per hour, depending on the experience.

Additional details:

• Overtime pay will be provided in accordance with California labor laws, at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for hours worked over 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a workweek
• Rest and Meal Breaks will be compensated for paid rest periods and granted unpaid meal breaks in accordance with California labor laws
• Your employment with MasTec is "at-will," meaning either you or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice
