Pain Management Nurse PractitionerPosition at Nuvance Health Med Practice PC Overview The Nuvance Health Medical Practice, now part of Northwell Health, Division of Pain Management has an excellent opportunity for a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our comprehensive Neurosciences Department in Carmel, NY.Job HighlightsGlobal management of patients with pain conditionsConduct thorough evaluations of patients with pain conditions, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, incorporating pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.Utilize various modalities for pain relief, including medication management, physical therapy referrals, interventional procedures, and complementary therapies.Educate patients and families about pain management options, coping strategies, and lifestyle modifications to improve quality of life.Schedule and conduct follow-up appointments to monitor treatment efficacy and adjust plans as needed.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with healthcare regulations.M-F positionQualificationsMaster's degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies.Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult).Previous experience in pain management, palliative care, or a related field preferredNew graduates will be consideredHighly competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits and a generous allowance for CMEs and professional dues/expenses offered.
