This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Step Down settings, providing essential care to patients transitioning from higher levels of care. As a Step Down RN, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will have the potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population. Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Step Down settings. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Educate patients and their families on health management and recovery processes. Requirements: 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for. Permanent Ohio license or Compact State license in hand. AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Must work at least every other holiday. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment to be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required.
