Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician

Pay: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour, depending on experience
Location: North Andover, MA area
Employment Type: Permanent, direct hire

An established manufacturing company in the North Andover, MA area is seeking an experienced Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing machinery and facility equipment.

This is a permanent opportunity for a hands-on technician with strong electrical troubleshooting experience and additional mechanical, machine repair, fabrication, or welding capabilities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in keeping production equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical equipment issues
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery
• Troubleshoot motors, sensors, switches, controls, wiring, and related electrical components
• Inspect equipment to identify wear, damage, or developing mechanical issues
• Repair or replace machine components and parts
• Support equipment installation, upgrades, and modifications
• Perform basic fabrication or welding work when needed
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and help minimize production downtime
• Complete maintenance documentation and service records
• Work with production and engineering teams to identify recurring equipment problems
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies

Qualifications

• Previous industrial maintenance, equipment maintenance, or manufacturing technician experience
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
• Experience maintaining or repairing manufacturing machinery
• Mechanical troubleshooting and machine repair capabilities
• Welding or fabrication experience is highly desirable
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, or equipment manuals
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage maintenance priorities
• Reliable attendance and strong safety awareness

Candidates with experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, Electromechanical Technician, Manufacturing Equipment Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Field Service Technician, or Facilities and Equipment Technician are encouraged to apply.
