PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Days or Nights

Position PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Days or Nights (PRN). Location Rome, GA region (On‑Site). Employment Type PRN (as needed). Compensation $32 per hour plus based on credentials and experience. Schedule 7 am – 7 pm or 7 pm – 7 am. Reports To Regional Nursing Director. Job Responsibilities Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Observe, assist with gathering health‑related data, and report the health needs to the registered nurse. Coordinate preventative and routine medical care for people supported. Document nursing care provided. Assist physicians with on‑site medical clinics where applicable. Provide health‑related training to unlicensed personnel according to state regulations. Conduct medication pass observations in the home to ensure staff competency according to state regulations. Conduct medication closest assessments. Perform quality assurance checks and observations to ensure unlicensed personnel are performing health‑related tasks as assigned according to state regulations. Observe for and report any abnormal health‑related findings to the physician. Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the interdisciplinary team. Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program. Current LPN license with no restrictions to practice nursing. Current CPR certification or eligibility to certify for CPR. Possess credentials required by Federal or State law. Must be able to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, the people supported, and their families. Must be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks. Must be at least 18 years of age. Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 20 lbs. and occasionally pull at least 40 lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop as part of regular job duties. Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls. Required to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from floor level, which requires working on hands and knees, bending, standing, and lifting. Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision. Must be able to talk and hear. Exception – Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs: For these programs only, employees must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). The requirement to talk and hear does not apply. Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements. Proof of employment history or references (if required). Positions that require driving proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, if required for providing transportation for individuals.
