Travel Physical Therapist (PT) Location: Hinesville, Georgia Duration: 13‑week travel assignment Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, the therapist creates personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely. Assess patient progress, adjust plans, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home settings. Perform other duties within scope of practice as assigned. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Doctorate in physical therapy (preferred but not required). New graduates welcome. Other certifications or licenses may be required. Essential Skills Critical thinking and service excellence. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Proficient reading, writing, and verbal English communication. Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions; proficiency with PC skills. Physical abilities: movement, lifting 50–100 lbs, pushing, pulling, bending. Interpersonal: work effectively with diverse personnel; positive attitude. Technical/motor: fine manipulation, assist with procedures and equipment. Mental: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, manage irregular activity schedules, maintain concentration on detail. Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
