Traveling Industrial Hygienist

Role Overview Apex is seeking a mid‑level industrial hygienist (IH) who will travel throughout the United States to provide occupational health and safety expertise to a portfolio of national clients in aerospace, warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution. The role supports routine work, negotiations with stakeholders, and is responsible for site visits and remote support as needed. Practical Application Shop floor personal and area exposure assessments Hexavalent chromium and other vertical standards assessments and program management EMF survey and assessments Hearing conservation program support Confined space entry program support Respiratory protection PPE program and usage review Baseline industrial hygiene monitoring for hexavalent chromium and other regulated chemicals Industrial ventilation surveys: paint booths, downdraft tables, sanding booths, laboratory hoods Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and approximately 3+ years’ related work experience or equivalent combination Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Experience with EMF, chemical and toxicology knowledge Deep knowledge of vertical standards and program management Willingness to travel and relocation when required Data management and report preparation skills Knowledge of EHS/OSHA/ACGIH and NIOSH regulations Strong technical writing and safety awareness Valid driver’s license Proficiency with Microsoft Office Ability to lead audits, inspections, investigations, and coordinate issue resolution Capacity to collaborate with clients on service plans Benefits Company‑subsidized medical and dental Company‑paid life, short- and long-term disability 401(k) match, tuition assistance, and other incentives Cross‑training and varied project work Performance‑based bonuses National firm with over 2,000 employees and 70+ locations Travel to client facilities across the U.S. Annual Expected Pay Range

$85,000 – $95,000 USD
