IT Field Technician - Long Island page is loaded## IT Field Technician - Long Islandlocations: Hauppauge, NY 11749time type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R-100554**Job Description:**ENT and Allergy Associates and Hümi is seeking a self-motivated, people friendly full-time **IT Field Technician** for our **Long Island**office locations.**Hourly:** $26/hourThe Field Technician's role is to ensure proper PC systems, related peripherals, common software programs and Operating Systems, LAN/WAN operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks at our remote office locations. Familiarity with internal computer components and repair skills for desktops, laptops, tablet PCs, PDA's, servers and laser printers.This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving remote office location end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level.**Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to the Following:*** Travel to all remote office locations* Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.* Performing preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.* Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.* Ability to thoroughly and accurately perform inventory and asset recording* Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner.* Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue.* Prioritize and schedule problems.
