Growing together.The Associate Patient Care Coordinator functions as an integral member of the team and is the first point of contact for all people inquiring about the provider's practice. The primary role is to organize the practice's daily activities and paperwork. Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goalsWorking Hours: A 36-hour work week, Monday from 6:30 am to 3:30pm, Wednesday from 8:00 am to 7:00pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm PST. Schedule will be determined by supervisor upon hire. (may change due to business needs)Location: 15418 Main St #200, Mill Creek, WA 98012Primary Responsibilities:Greet customers into practice and provide instruction and/or direction as necessary both on the phone and in personObtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address, insurance informationPerform insurance verification on the date of serviceObtain patient signatures for required documentsUpload a valid Government issued state ID of patient and patient insurance cardsSchedule and coordinate all patient appointments as directedMaintain an organized and clean work area, free of clutterPrepare all documentation and records with accuracy as directed or necessary for the patient's careMeet or exceed the performance measures established by the Practice Management Dept.Follow established policy and procedures related to the positionParticipate and contribute to a team-based environmentMaintain a team supportive attendance recordUnderstand and deliver quality customer service that is consistent with Optum's efforts in becoming a High-Performance OrganizationFollow OSHA/WISHA (including usage of PPE) guidelinesFollow HIPAA regulationsAdapt and perform effectively in a continuously changing environment, and in occasional difficult situationsAbility to cover other offices as neededPerforms other duties as assignedYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED1+ years of computer proficiency experience (multi-task through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experiencePreferred Qualifications:1+ years of experience working in medical office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting co-pays and balances due, and maintaining medical recordsExperience taking inbound and outbound callsKnowledge of EPIC/EMRSoft Skills:Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountabilityDemonstrated ability to work well with health care providersStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlinesAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from othersPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment.
