Senior MEP Cost Estimator - TX USA

We’re seeking a Senior MEP Cost Estimator with estimating experience ranging in size from $5M-$10B to support our projects and clients across the country. In this key role, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for projects across all divisions, including mechanical (plumbing, HVAC , Fire sprinkler (parameter ests) / Electrical / specialty systems. We'll lean on you to ensure quantity takeoff, pricing and parameter estimating, and supporting strategic decisions and client satisfaction. You'll also review design documents, proposals, specifications, drawings, attend design development meetings and assess the risk and cost impacts required to develop the estimates. You'll collaborate with knowledgeable and supportive teams, as you prepare estimates by reviewing and comprehending scope documents, developing project work breakdown structures, calculating complete scope of work take-offs, assist contracts staff with statements of work for subcontractors and vendors, apply construction means and method.

More Key Responsibilities:

• Develop capital cost estimates for projects.

• Review contractor proposals for various procurement types.

• Review and validate change orders.

• Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs.

• Maintain organized and detailed files, project records and logs.

• Attend project meetings as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Progressive and successful cost estimating experience in all projects phases.

• Experience hard bid /negotiated general contractor experience.

• Knowledge of MS Office products, , Sage Timberline, MII estimating software , HCSS Heavy Bid and Blue Beam a plus.

• Must be a United States citizen.

• Ability to obtain a DOE and other Federal security clearance.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• Bachelors' degree in engineering, construction management or a related field.

• At least 5-15 years of estimating and construction experience related to Building and Vertical Construction.

• Alternative delivery procurement experience.

• Understanding of the relationship between cost, risk and schedule.

• Certifications such as a CPE ,CEP, CCP, or CCM are a plus.
