Senior Data Architect – Microsoft Fabric Migration & Salesforce Analytics Modernization OverviewOur client is seeking a Senior Data Architect to support a major BI and data modernization initiative focused on migrating their enterprise data warehouse environment from Microsoft Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric.This role will play a critical part in modernizing the company’s data architecture, supporting reporting continuity, and ensuring downstream analytics processes remain accurate and scalable.Salesforce is the primary CRM/database system driving sales and opportunity data. As part of an ongoing Salesforce data model update, the organization is transitioning from a custom Salesforce Opportunity object to the standard Salesforce Opportunity object. This change will impact existing sales reporting, data mappings, analytics workflows, and downstream data processes.The ideal candidate will have experience working across enterprise data platforms, BI environments, and CRM datasets, with an understanding of how Salesforce data feeds analytics and reporting ecosystems.This position requires a hands-on Data Architect who can provide strategic architecture guidance while supporting technical execution across data modeling, transformation, and reporting initiatives.Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership for the Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric migration. Define future-state data architecture and support enterprise data modernization efforts. Review existing reporting structures, data models, and analytics workflows impacted by Salesforce data changes. Support migration strategy for existing analytics workloads and reporting environments. Design scalable data models, transformation processes, and data architecture solutions. Ensure Salesforce data changes are accurately reflected across reporting and analytics platforms. Partner with Salesforce, BI, data engineering, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business requirements. Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities to improve data quality, reporting, and analytics capabilities. Support hands-on SQL development, data transformation, and validation as needed. Salesforce & CRM Data Responsibilities Work with Salesforce-driven sales and opportunity data within enterprise reporting environments. Support reporting updates related to the transition from a custom Salesforce Opportunity object to the standard Opportunity object. Review data mappings, reporting logic, and downstream processes impacted by Salesforce data model changes. Ensure CRM data is structured and optimized for analytics and reporting use cases. Collaborate with internal teams responsible for Salesforce data ingestion into the enterprise data warehouse.Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise data platforms, or related roles. Experience leading cloud data warehouse modernization initiatives. Strong Microsoft data ecosystem experience, including Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure data platforms. Strong SQL skills with experience in data modeling and transformation. Experience designing enterprise data pipelines and analytics solutions. Experience supporting BI/reporting environments. Ability to work across technical teams, business stakeholders, and data consumers.Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Azure Synapse. Experience with Salesforce data, CRM analytics, or enterprise Salesforce reporting environments. Understanding of Salesforce objects, relationships, and data structures. Experience supporting sales analytics or CRM-driven reporting initiatives. Experience with Power BI or similar BI/reporting platforms.
