RN Specialized - Cardiology - Part Time - Encinitas

This is a benefited, Part time position (48 hours every 2 weeks) working 8-hr varied shifts (0745-1615, 0800-1630 or 830-1700) . No weekends or holidays. Located at Scripps Clinic Encinitas. Preferred training schedule is 4 days per week.

Bonus available to eligible new hires in the amount of $2K.

*What you'll do: *

• The majority of this position is working in Epic, inbasket messaging and triaging, but will also place IVs for Definity and perform stress echocardiograms.
• Demonstrate compassionate care during patient assessments and care tasks, including medication administration as appropriate, all completed over the phone (phone triaging and education).
• Work the inbaskets/messages for the entire shift.
• Learn about cardiac devices, stress tests, triaging, and read device alerts.
• Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
• Provide patient care including: o compliance with patient assessments and care tasks o triaging o completion of clinical procedures o emergency protocols and medication administration
• Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Current California RN License

• BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association

• Graduate from an Accredited Nursing Program

Preferred Experience:

• Cardiology experience

• At least 1 year of RN experience

• Strong telepathy and ECG interpretation skills
