Adjunct Professor of Undergraduate Programs AY25-26

Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term. Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $1,000.00 - $3,500.00 per course. Governors State University’s College of Health and Human Services seeks to fill adjunct, faculty positions. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach in a CAHME accredited graduate and AUPHA-certified undergraduate program in health administration as well as specialized courses. Ability to teach in multiple areas of healthcare management; ability to integrate technology into course design; ability to make intellectual contribution through publication/presentation; and ability to contribute to the University’s commitment to enhancing student awareness and appreciation of diverse ethnic and cultural heritages are important. Minimum Qualifications Doctorate or Master’s degree in Health Management, Health Administration, Public Health, Health Policy, health services research; or related discipline and documented work experience at the senior management level in a health services organization. Successful teaching experience at the graduate or undergraduate level. Ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Preferred Qualifications Ability to teach at least one of the areas: Financial management, Informatics, Accounting, Quality improvement with Lean Six Sigma. Health care industry experience in health care leadership and Fellow in the American College of Health Care Administrators is a plus.
