Position Title:  Lead Storeroom Attendant
Position Reports to: Culinary Purchasing Manager
Employee Categories: Full Time, Year-Round; Benefit Eligible
FLSA Category:  Non -Exempt; Hourly
Schedule: 6am – 2pm or 7am – 3pm
Compensation: $23-$27/hr. 

The Lead Storeroom Attendant is responsible for supporting the Culinary Purchasing Manager by overseeing the daily organization, accuracy, and flow of food, beverage, paper goods, chemicals, and operating supplies through the storeroom and receiving areas. The Lead Storeroom Attendant helps protect product integrity, cost controls, inventory accuracy, and operational readiness by ensuring deliveries are received properly, storage areas are maintained to standard, and product movement is documented accurately.

Primary Responsibilities  included but not limited to:  

• Lead daily storeroom organization, cleanliness, product rotation, and product accessibility across dry storage, walk-ins, freezers, utility areas, and related storage locations.
• Receive deliveries according to established receiving schedules and ensure products are checked in accurately and efficiently.
• Verify products against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips, confirming correct quantity, weight, quality, temperature, brand, and specification.
• Immediately communicate shortages, damages, temperature issues, substitutions, credits, or delivery concerns to the Culinary Purchasing Manager and appropriate culinary leadership.
• Label, date, store, and rotate all products using FIFO standards while maintaining proper food safety and sanitation practices.
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, par-level checks, requisition support, and product movement between outlets as directed.
• Maintain accurate receiving records, product logs, inventory notes, and related documentation in accordance with Club procedures.
• Use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and basic shared files to communicate updates, organize receiving information, assist with inventory tracking, and support purchasing follow-up.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to receivers, stewards, runners, or other team members assisting in the storeroom, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and safely.
• Help maintain accountability for storeroom standards by identifying process gaps, organization needs, inventory issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with vendors, culinary team members, clubhouse departments, and leadership.
• Adhere to Club policies, procedures, safety standards, and food safety expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• 2-4 years of experience in receiving, storeroom, inventory, purchasing support, culinary operations, or a related food and beverage environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain clean, accurate, and accessible storage areas.
• Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to follow through on daily priorities with limited supervision.
• Basic understanding of food safety, product rotation, receiving standards, temperature control, and sanitation expectations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Teams required; basic Microsoft Excel skills preferred, including entering data, updating inventory sheets, reviewing lists, and supporting simple tracking documents.
• Ability to communicate professionally with vendors, managers, culinary team members, and other departments.
• Ability to provide informal leadership, direction, and support to team members assisting in receiving or storeroom tasks.
• Standard shift schedules are 6:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. or 7:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M., with some nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• SERV Safe Certification, Allergen Awareness Training, and First Aid certification preferred. 

Uniform Requirements:

• Partial uniform provided: Chef Jacket, Chef Hat, Apron and Chef Pants
• Employees are required to have all black work shoes with non-slip soles.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand for 8-10 hours. 
• Must be able to kneel, bend over, and stand-up multiple times during a shift. 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
