This job is for an experienced engineer to manage the manufacturing processes for heat shrink tubing, focusing on quality, cost reduction, and technical documentation within a medical device environment. location: Wilsonville, Oregon job type: Contract salary: $63.78 - 89.29 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors Responsibilities Take ownership of the manufacturing processes for heat shrink tubing. Perform root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for non-conforming products using tools like Lean, Six Sigma, and 8D. Create technical documents, including process instructions, validation plans and reports, development plans and reports, and non-conforming material reports. Conduct process validation activities using the IQ, OQ, and PQ approach. Lead cost reduction projects with cross-functional teams. Work effectively with others to meet business goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Use written, verbal, non-verbal, and visual methods to communicate effectively. Ensure products meet quality and compliance standards for safety and effectiveness. Required Qualifications A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. A proven history of successfully completing projects that improve business results. Desired Qualifications Experience with polymer processing, such as extrusion or molding, is recommended. Experience in medical device manufacturing is a plus.
