Job purpose
Under the direction of the Collection Manager, Must operate within the approved guidelines, policies and procedures of the FDCPA.
Duties and responsibilities
Collector must make minimum of 120 calls a day and answer any incoming collection calls.
Read and Respond to all emails received in a timely manner
Set up payment arrangements according to collection guidelines
Follow up all broken arrangements by the customer
Has to be able to work close with other coworkers
Must be able to stay for extended hours if asked
All collectors must have knowledge of the FDCPA
Collector has to be able to schedule and track their own arrangements made
Q&A out bound calls
Work Experience Requirements
- Minimal of 1 year of collection or sales experience
- Strong keyboard skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in a fast paced environment
- Good active listening skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Sales experience a plus
- Ability to work independently and make effective use of resources
Education Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
Some college preferred
