Job Description\n CloudinfraIT Inc is seeking a travel nurse RN Interventional Radiology for a travel nursing job in Columbia, Missouri.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Interventional Radiology\n Discipline: RN\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days, rotating\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n # Travel RN – Interventional Radiology | Missouri\n **13-Week Contract | Day Shift | 40 Guaranteed Hours | Quick Start**\n ### Position Details\n * **Location:** Columbia, Missouri\n * **Contract:** 13 weeks\n * **Shift:** Days, Monday–Friday\n * **Schedule:** Day shift + rotating call\n * **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours/week\n * **Call:** Required — rotating M–F 4:30 PM–7:30 AM and weekends 7:00 AM–7:00 AM\n * **Holiday Coverage:** Required\n * **EMR:** Meditech\n ### Responsibilities\n * Perform comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments before, during, and after procedures\n * Monitor patients receiving procedural sedation and recognize potential complications\n * Provide nursing care for interventional radiology and CT procedures\n * Assist with neurovascular interventions, including stroke procedures\n * Prepare patients for invasive and non-invasive procedures\n * Administer medications such as Versed, Fentanyl, antibiotics, Lidocaine, and Nitroglycerin as ordered\n * Manage IVs, vascular access devices, PICC lines, and central lines\n * Perform patient monitoring and tele interpretation during procedures\n * Provide procedural sedation while maintaining patient safety\n * Assist with cardioversion and defibrillation when required\n * Circulate during procedures and coordinate care with physicians and radiology teams\n * Educate patients and families regarding procedures and address questions or concerns\n * Follow radiation safety practices and department protocols\n * Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals\n * Make critical decisions and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition\n ### Common Procedures\n * Port placements and removals\n * Tunneled and non-tunneled line placements/removals\n * CT-guided liver, lung, bone, renal, and lymph node biopsies\n * Chest tube and CT-guided drain placements\n * IVC filter placements/removals\n * Nephrostomy tube procedures\n * Neurovascular stroke interventions\n * Sedation for MRI procedures\n * Port access/deaccess\n * MRI defibrillator and cardiac device monitoring\n * Occasional chemoembolization and uterine artery embolization procedures\n ### Requirements\n * **Current, active Missouri RN license or compact RN license**\n * **Minimum 3 years of nursing experience**\n * **3+ years of Neuro experience **\n * Current **BLS/BCLS certification**\n * Strong **Interventional Radiology** experience preferred\n * Experience with **procedural sedation**\n * IV insertion and vascular device management experience required\n * PICC/Central Line management experience required\n * Telemetry interpretation experience required\n * Cardioversion/defibrillation experience required\n * Circulating experience required\n * Must be comfortable with rotating call, weekends, and holidays\n * Strong critical-thinking, communication, and multitasking skills\n ### Additional Information\n * **1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio** for procedural sedation\n * No Propofol drips or pressors managed by Radiology Nurses\n * **$5/hr pager rate** for on-call coverage\n * **2-hour minimum** for call-back\n * Call-back and holiday hours paid at an additional rate\n * Facility may downstaff travelers during the contract\n CloudinfraIT Inc Job ID #294789.001.
