HVAC Technician

Job Full Description

Job Summary: Our locally owned and operated client has been in business for over 15 years and is looking for a HVAC Technician to join their team. The HVAC Technician duties include:


• Build, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair passenger railcar HVAC systems and related equipment in the shop or off site


• Diagnose electrical & mechanical faults in railcar HVAC systems


• Clean, adjust railcar HVAC systems including identifying future maintenance risks on equipment


Location: Madison, IL
Position type: Full Time, Evaluation Hire
Pay: $18/hr - $25/hr, BOE


Qualifications


• 1 year of experience as an HVAC technician and willingness to continue education in HVAC field


• Proficient in reading schematics & drawings


• Ability to work after hours on weekends (or holidays) with short notice


• Self-motivated, with good communication skills, attention to detail and safe work habits
