Job Duties

Ensures all new staff receive orientation & training in accordance with established policy and procedures for emergency management and ESF 3 staffing; Ensures all ODW staff receive training on emergency response, and that the training objectives support the ODW mission; Assures that staff training records reports are forwarded to the Division of Training and Outreach within the assigned timeframe; and Actively participates in and organizes an exercise and training programs in a timely manner for owners, engineers, officials and the general public to explain new procedures and regulations; Responds to customer and employee requests promptly; Coordinates media response with central office and VDH PIO; Establishes positive relationship with sister agencies and district health directors; Participates and leads efforts to improve ODW's quality and timeliness of responses for emergency response and preparedness; leads coordination calls with waterworks and ODW field offices.

Minimum Qualifications
• Comprehensive knowledge of GIS, mobile applications, and Microsoft products.
• Expert knowledge of emergency response and preparedness.
• Substantial work experience in project management and emergency response and preparedness.
• Experience and understanding of the Commonwealth's emergency response and preparedness.

Additional Considerations
• Working knowledge of drinking water treatment and principles.
