Special Education Teacher for Grades K-2

Coventry Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher to work with our students in our specialized behavior program. The successful candidate will:

• Have experience working with children with significant social, emotional and behavioral needs
• Develop comprehensive programs for students with emotional disabilities across the continuum of services from self-contained to fully inclusive
• Engage in effective collaboration with the classroom teacher to develop strategies to facilitate meaningful inclusion

Qualifications:
Appropriate CT Educator Certification Required
De-escalation and physical restraint training preferred
